Amanita & Fleabane
This image was taken in June 2023. It is one of many scanned images that I created this year. I fell in love with scanography when I first saw some stunning scanned flowers. I really like this medium and have enjoyed working with it this year.
The mushroom is in Amanita and the small white asters are called fleabane. after experimenting a little bit with the image, I realize that the flowers sort of look like spores falling from the mushroom. And so I work to amplify that look. I think the effect came out nicely and this image was chosen to be a part of a Wintershow of the Greenhill center for North Carolina art.
